Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is expected to undergo his medical with Arsenal tomorrow before travelling for the pre-season tour of Asia.
The Sweden international has been the number one target for the Gunners this summer and they have eventually secured his services from the Portuguese champions.
Arsenal have agreed to pay £63.5m for the 27-year-old, and he has been granted permission to travel to London where sporting director Andrea Berta is present.
Gyokeres will undergo a series of medical tests in the next 24 hours before accompanying Berta to Singapore where the Gunners are due to face Newcastle United.
From then, the club will travel to Hong Kong for another friendly against Tottenham Hotspur. Gyokeres could make his Gunners debut in the north London derby.
Arsenal are not finished yet in the transfer market and they could make one more offensive signing based on the funds recouped from player sales.
Crystal Palace‘s Eberechi Eze remains the top target at the current point.
