What teams have qualified for Champions League knockouts?

Ahead of matchday five of the 2023-24 Champions League group stages, six teams have already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition.

In Group A, Bayern Munich have already finished first after winning their opening four matches of the group. Copenhagen, Galatsaray and Manchester United will battle it out for second place.

In Group C, Real Madrid have already qualified for the knockout stages after winning their first four matches. They can clinch top spot if they avoid defeat to Napoli at the Santiago Bernabeu on matchday five.

In Group D, Real Sociedad and Inter Milan have already qualified for the knockouts ahead of matchday five. All that is left to play for between the two teams is who finishes top of the group.

In Group G, Man City and RB Leipzig have qualified for the last-16 of the Champions League ahead of matchday five. Both teams only have top spot to play for, with City strong favourites having won the first meeting between the sided 3-1 in Leipzig.

In matchday five, a host of teams have the chance to book their place in the knockouts of Europe’s best club competition.

Arsenal will qualify from Group B if they avoid defeat at home to Lens. PSV will also qualify if they win at Sevilla and Arsenal defeat Lens.

Napoli will qualify from Group C if they win at Real Madrid, or if they equal or better Braga’s result against Union Berlin.

In Group E, Atletico Madrid will qualify if they beat Feyenoord. Lazio will qualify if they beat Celtic and Feyenoord fail to beat Atletico.

In Group F, Borussia Dortmund will qualify if they win at AC Milan. PSG will qualify if they beat Newcastle and Milan fail to beat Dortmund.

In Group H, Barcelona will qualify if they beat Porto or better Shakhtar Donetsk’s result against Antwerp. Porto will qualify if they better Shakhtar’s result against Antwerp.

The Champions League knockout draw is on 18 December 2023. The last-16 fixtures begin on February 13 2024.
