Arsenal overcame Wolves to move four points clear of Manchester City at the Premier League summit.
Mikel Arteta‘s side made a blistering start at the Emirates as goals by Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard within the opening 13 minutes put them firmly in command.
Saka netted his eighth goal of the season when he pounced on a loose ball inside the Wolves box before picking out the bottom corner.
Odegaard strengthened Arsenal’s position when he rounded off a nice team move which saw Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko play a one-two.
But despite a number of chances, Arsenal couldn’t put the game to bed and Wolves’ Matheus Cunha set up a nervy finish when he curled into the top corner after Zinchenko and William Saliba collided.
In a frantic finale, Eddie Nketiah struck the post and Wolves had a handball penalty shout turned down following a VAR check.
