The January transfer window edges closer and clubs are eyeing up which players can solve their issues going into the second half of the season. 

It also happens to be a year that includes a major tournament so there will be plenty of stars looking to ensure they are getting regular football. 

With an injury list as long as any of their Premier League rivals, Newcastle have been linked with the out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips but face competition from Serie A giants Juventus.

Brentford meanwhile, have a job on their hands to keep their star striker Ivan Toney, who is attracting interest from top clubs as he approaches the end of his ban.
