- Teenager was completely unphased at the oche, defeating Dirk van Duijvenbode
Luke Littler was calmness personified as he was snapped opening FIFA packs before booking his place in the Dutch Masters quarter final on Friday.
As he prepared to face off against home favourite Dirk van Duijvenbode, the 17-year-old was snapped by Premier League rival Michael Smith on his phone opening Ultimate Team packs on the EAFC web app.
The 2023 World Champion then shared the photo on Instagram, jokingly captioning his post: ‘Trying play darts and this little [s*** emoji] playing fifa.’
Despite his pre-match antics, Littler showed no signs of lacking in focus when it came time to step up to the oche.
Despite receiving boos from the Dutch crowd, Littler comfortably progressed beyond the World No 13, winning 6-2 in Den Bosch to set up a quarter-final clash and an opportunity to avenge his World Championship heartbreak against Luke Humphries on Saturday.

Progressing to the last eight in style, the prodigy capped off his performance with a sensational 170 checkout before embracing his hapless opponent.
Smith meanwhile endured a disappointing showing at the Maaspoort, beaten 6-3 by 21-year-old Guelders native Gian Van Veen to the delight of the Dutch crowd.
It’s been a whirlwind six weeks for Littler after emerging from obscurity to star at the 2024 PDC World Championships.
But Littler continued unphased, defeating the Dutchman 6-2 to progress to the quarter finals
Entering the competition unseeded as a 150/1 rank outsider, the prodigious talent progressed from the first round all the way through to a final showdown with Humphries.
Though he would ultimately suffer defeat at the Alexandra Palace, Littler became an instant sensation throughout the competition, and pocketed a cool £200,000 after finishing as runner-up earlier this month.
Asked what he would spend his prize money on Littler admitted he would be investing in his EAFC Ultimate Team and it seems he has kept his word.
