Mason Greenwood has been warned he still has areas of his game to improve, despite being hailed as a ‘great player’ by Getafe boss Jose Bordalas after their 2-0 win over Granada.
Greenwood scored Getafe’s opening goal in the victory, with the forward finding the net with a curling shot from the edge of the area.
Cutting inside onto his favoured left foot, Greenwood clipped an effort from just inside the area that wrong-footed goalkeeper Augusto Batalla and found the corner of the net.
The effort was his fourth league goal of the season after joining on loan from Manchester United in the summer.
Greenwood’s goal set Getafe on their way to a comfortable win, with Borja Mayoral doubling the hosts’ lead 15 minutes later.

Bordalas admitted post-match that Greenwood is a ‘great player’, but was disappointed with his contribution in the second half.
‘He is a great player but everyone has a job,’ Bordalas said, as per the Metro.
‘We are very happy with the work from Greenwood, Borja, Maxi but without everyone’s work he cannot shine.
‘Greenwood had a great first half, although not so much in the second half. But everyone has worked for the team.
‘They were aware of the importance of the game and finally we achieved it.’
Greenwood is seeking to rebuild his career in Spain after departing Old Trafford on loan last summer.
The 22-year-old had reached a mutual agreement with Man United that it was best for him to recommence his career elsewhere after he was arrested on suspicion of a number of charges, including attempted rape, in January 2022.
The Crown Prosecution Service subsequently dropped the charges in February 2023, but Greenwood was sent out on loan to Getafe and he has made a positive start to life in Spain.
Getafe coach Jose Bordalas insisted Greenwood should have work harder in the second half
Greenwood has helped Getafe to 10th in LaLiga, with the club now 13 points clear of the relegation zone.
Getafe’s comfortable mid-table position marks an improvement on last season, when they finished 15th, two points above the bottom three.
Greenwood’s loan deal at Getafe is set to expire this summer, while his United contract is set to end in June 2025.
But the 22-year-old is reportedly keen to stay in Spain, and has claimed to have told his advisors that a £40m switch to Barcelona would be a dream move for him.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also believed to be tracking Greenwood’s progress at Getafe as they weigh up making an approach for the striker.
