RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has opted to make a change in goal for Sunday’s match against Union Berlin, with Peter Gulacsi coming in at the expense of Janis Blaswich.
And after a solid 2-0 win that saw Leipzig keep their first clean sheet since October, Rose plans to keep Gulacsi in goal.
“Pete played to zero today and we won,” said Rose at the post-match press conference:
“We’re not going to talk about doing something different every week. It’s clear that Pete will be in goal next week. But it was not an easy decision, because Janis Blaswich did not do anything wrong.”
Next up for Leipzig is an away game against Augsburg on Saturday.
