Fred’s first goal came in the 15th minute as he scored from long range.

He then doubled his tally on the hour mark as he finished well after being found by former Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin.

Just four minutes later Fred completed his hat-trick as he reacted quickly to a rebound.

Fred’s hat-trick against Rizespor saw him match his tally for the entirety of last season, when he scored three goals in 25 league games.

Mourinho signed Fred for United in June 2018 but the manager was sacked later that year.

The Portuguese coach was appointed as Fenerbahce boss this summer.

Fenerbahce are top of the Turkish Super Lig having taken seven points from their first three games of the campaign.
