Following Bayer Leverkusen’s loss to RB Leipzig, Jonathan Tah opened up about his failed move to Bayern Munich.

Back in June, it was reported that Jonathan Tah had agreed a deal in principle to join Bayern Munich and told Bayer Leverkusen that he wanted to make the move.

However, the transfer didn’t materialize before the window closed as the two clubs were unable to come to an agreement.

Speaking to Sky Germany after Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-3 loss to RB Leipzig on Saturday, Tah shared his thoughts on the transfer saga and revealed how he feels now that the move hasn’t happened.

“I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t stressful. In the end, of course, it’s always the players who have the least control over what happens in these situations,” Tah told Sky Germany.

“I never said I felt uncomfortable here, quite the opposite. Of course it’s exhausting to go back and forth like that. But in the end I accept it the way it is. I’m here with my head. I’m not a person who dwells on the past, I look to the future.

Tah went on to say that from his point of view, everything has now been said on the matter and that he is motivated to go into the final year of his contract with Bayer 04.

“In the end, the matter is closed, my situation hasn’t changed, I’m here and I’m happy here in Leverkusen.”
