England interim manager Lee Carsley oversaw his first training session on Wednesday at St George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent.
Carsley – along with his coaching team of Ashley Cole, Joleon Lescott and Chris Jones – put the squad through their paces ahead of Saturday’s Nations League opener away to Ireland.
The session appeared to be fairly relaxed and included games of football tennis between the goalkeepers, as well as light fitness work for the whole team.
There were plenty of familiar faces involved, including captain Harry Kane and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
However, Wednesday also saw the likes of Tino Livramento, Angel Gomes, Noni Madueke and Morgan Gibbs-White train with the Three Lions first team for the first time.

The Carsley era will begin in Dublin against the country the England interim boss represented 40 times during his playing career.
Carsley was born in Birmingham but played for Ireland because his grandmother was from Dunmanway in County Cork.
The 50-year-old is likely to get a mixed reception at the Aviva Stadium, including some hostility, while two of his players should also be prepared to be on the receiving end of some abuse.
Declan Rice and Jack Grealish both previously represented Ireland before pledging their allegiance to England.

Grealish, also from Birmingham, played for Ireland at U17, U18 and U21 levels.
London-born Rice even won three senior caps for Ireland, but he was allowed to switch to England because they all came in friendly matches.
