Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has made his thoughts on Randal Kolo Muani clear as a January exit of the striker becomes increasingly likely.

The Frenchman has failed to have much of an impact at his hometown club since his dramatic €95 million Deadline Day move in the summer of 2023. Kolo Muani has admitted that the inflated fee has weighed heavily on his shoulders and he has increasingly become a forgotten man in Paris.

The 26-year-old has played 453 minutes so far this season, starting only four games. Against Olympique Lyon at the weekend, the France international – who is still a regular starter for his country – did not even make the matchday squad.

It was a decision on the part of coach Luis Enrique that all but confirmed that Kolo Muani was set to leave in January and the Spaniard has now confirmed as much.

“I could speak about it, but I won’t because my decisions say it all, even if, as I have said, all of my decisions can be changed,” Enrique stated ahead of PSG’s midweek clash with third-placed Monaco, with whom Kolo Muani has been linked.

Man Utd to move for Kolo Muani?

Enrique’s comment makes it clear that Kolo Muani does not have a future at PSG and a January departure looks inevitable, with the striker still having no shortage of suitors due to his previous exploits with Eintracht Frankfurt.

In addition to Monaco, Kolo Muani has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd in the Premier League as well as with a return to the Bundesliga, where RB Leipzig are said to hold an interest.

On Monday, L’Equipe claimed that Man Utd are the club ‘positioned most concretely’ to make a move for the Frenchman in the winter but acknowledged that the Red Devils would first have to solve ‘big problems,’ referring to the club’s delicate financial situation.
