Man Utd make contact to sign Barcelona defender?

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Barcelona over the potential transfer of defender Andreas Christensen this month.

The Red Devils spent big in the last transfer window. They bolstered their central defence with Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.

Noussair Mazraoui has also impressed in the back three under manager Ruben Amorim, but the club could land another centre-back.

Christensen has not played for the Blaugrana since August with an Achilles tendon injury, but he is expected to return this weekend.

The Dane is no longer guaranteed a starting role. This could contribute to his departure before the winter transfer deadline on February 3.

United have already made some contact with the defender’s entourage and it remains to be seen whether they make a transfer approach.

Christensen would be a fantastic piece of signing for the Red Devils, considering he has vast experience in the Premier League.

He was an undisputed starter during his final season at Chelsea, but decided to join the Blaugrana after his contract formally expired.
