Manchester United winger Antony has given his verdict on his loan move to Real Betis.

The 24-year-old has arrived in Spain as he prepares to finalise his switch to the LaLiga club until the end of the season.

Antony has endured a difficult time at United since his arrival from Ajax for £86million in 2022.

In total he has scored 12 goals and provided five assists across 96 appearances for United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Betis will cover 84 per cent of Antony’s £200,000-per-week salary.

The loan move is set to include an option for Betis to sign Antony permanently.

Antony has declared that he is ‘so happy’ to be linking up with Real Betis.

As reported by Relevo, he told reporters at the airport: ‘I’m so happy, I’m ready’.

Antony will be eager for a fresh challenge having not started a single league game for United this season.

Olympiacos had previously expressed an interest in signing Antony on loan, but Mail Sport understands that he didn’t want to play for the Greek club.

Real Betis are currently in 12th place in LaLiga and are also through to the knockout phase play-offs in the Europa Conference League, where they will take on Gent.

Antony will be looking to play regularly and show the kind of form that led to United signing him.

After initially featuring prominently for United under Erik ten Hag, Antony saw his game time reduced.

Although he has featured as a substitute of late under Ruben Amorim, it was agreed that now is the right time for him to depart.
