Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of Mario Hermoso on loan from AS Roma.

AS Roma defender Mario Hermoso has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan for the rest of the season.
The German champions confirmed the signing of the 29-year-old centre-back on Friday morning.
“Mario Hermoso is an experienced player on the international stage and, in addition to playing as a central defender, he is a very capable and organized left back,” said Bayer 04 managing director for sport Simon Rolfes.
“Mario will also bring additional versatility to our defence and will compensate very well for the absence of Jeanuel Belocian.”
Hermoso, a natural centre-back capable of operating as a left-back, commented:
“I’m very much looking forward to aiming to achieve big targets with the Werkself. Everything is set up here for a successful season on the pitch.”
