RB Leipzig have announced that Christoph Baumgartner has returned to the club from international duty for precautionary reasons.

The attacking midfielder suffered a slight concussion in Austria’s 1-1 draw with Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.

The incident happened shortly before the 70th-minute when the Leipzig player was involved in a clash of heads.

Muhammed Cham replaced the 25-year-old who could not continue.

It remains to be seen if Baumgartner can recover in time for Die Roten Bullen’s next Bundesliga fixture against Gladbach on March 29.
