Pascal Gross won’t jump to any early conclusions regarding Borussia Dortmund’s underwhelming campaign thus far.
“I am not a fan of defining goals – in the situation we’re in right now,” the 33-year-old said after training today.
“We should take small steps to get a good feeling again. Then we’ll see where we end up,” he explained.
The midfielder explained how getting away with the German national team can be beneficial for starting a clean slate when returning to club duty.
“A change of scenery is always good. You try to come back with a good feeling so you can attack again,” Gross explained.
Niko Kovac’s team, who currently sit 11th in the table, enter a pivotal part of the season as they return to Bundesliga action against a high-flying Mainz side.
