Arsenal are confident of landing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi amid interest from Real Madrid, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The Gunners are preparing for a busy summer transfer window and they could make at least one addition to their midfield ahead of next season.
Zubimendi has been a long-term target for the club and Ornstein claims that Arsenal are confident of landing his signature during the summer.
Madrid have recently entered the pursuit of the Spaniard, but Arsenal believe they have a ‘done deal’ and are not concerned over the speculation.
Zubimendi’s arrival at the Gunners may not coincide with possible exits this summer.
Jorginho and Thomas Partey were touted to leave earlier this year, but the duo could be persuaded to pen new contracts in the coming weeks.
Talks are underway with the experienced duo and there is a possibility that the pair will continue with the Gunners for the 2025/26 campaign.
