However, Los Blancos have endured a tricky few weeks, succumbing to a 5-1 aggregate defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals, before losing the Copa del Rey final to Barcelona on Saturday evening.

As a result, Ancelotti has been heavily linked with an exit and multiple reports have indicated that he will depart the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the 2024-25 La Liga season.

The 65-year-old will reportedly leave Real Madrid before the inaugural Club World Cup and he has already informed members of the dressing room of his intention to depart this summer, as per The Athletic.

The Transfers Podcast understands that Saudi Arabia are interested in appointing Ancelotti as their new national team manager, but he is expected to become the next Brazil head coach in June.

Real Madrid want Jurgen Klopp?

With Ancelotti set to leave Real Madrid, the club are now searching for a suitable successor and they have already phoned the aforementioned Klopp on two occasions, according to Marca, as they attempt to persuade him back into management.

The German left Liverpool last summer and he is currently the Head of Football Operations for the Red Bull group after taking a step away from coaching.

However, Real Madrid are hoping to tempt him back into the dugout amid their pursuit of Ancelotti’s replacement, while Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is also under consideration by the hierarchy at the Santiago Bernabeu.
