The ‘Pascal Groß turn’ has become somewhat of a trademark for Borussia Dortmund’s veteran midfielder this season.
Groß put it to good use on Matchday 32 as he swivelled past three defenders to cross and set up Serhou Guirassy for his second goal of the game.
In the aftermath of BVB’s 4-0 thrashing of VfL Wolfsburg yesterday, an in-form Groß talked about his special move and the club’s desire to finish the season on a high.
“If you’re not the fastest, you have to buy yourself time. The move gives me the space to cross, pass or shoot.
“I often drove home and thought to myself: This [criticism] can’t be true. Now I go home with a good feeling more and more often.
“We’re trying to save what can still be saved. We were a long way off, but now we’re back in an area where we can make it,” the 33-year-old explained.
