Chelsea are prepared to make a formal bid for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo amid interest from Manchester United, according to Fichajes.
The west London giants have had a good Premier League campaign and they are presently on course to qualify for the Champions League next term.
The Blues have a Club World Cup after the league season and they are determined to bolster their attack ahead of the tournament in the USA.
A marquee striker is the main priority for the Blues but they are also keen on landing a wide attacking player in the lead up to the Club World Cup.
Mbeumo, who has bagged 18 goals in the current season, has been identified as the top target. He could be signed for a fee of around £60 million.
United are also interested in the versatile winger but they can’t afford him without player sales. The Blues have a huge advantage in that case to secure a quick deal.
