Die Wölfe are on the hunt for the next gaffer to take over in the dugout.

VfL Wolfsburg are in concrete talks with Paul Simonis of Go Ahead Eagles, Sky Germany is informed.

Simonis has been on Die Wölfe’s list of head coach replacements for quite some time, as also reported by WAZ.

Talks are also ongoing with Jacob Neestrup from FC Copenhagen, but he had recently been in negotiations with RB Leipzig.

The 40-year-old led Go Ahead Eagles to a seventh place finish in last season’s Eredivisie utilising his preferred 4-3-3 formation.
