Tottenham ‘threat to HIJACK Man United’s move for £60m Bryan Mbeumo’ with striker ‘intrigued’ by following Thomas Frank from Brentford after initial talks

  • Thomas Frank left his managerial role at Brentford for Tottenham on Thursday

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Manchester United‘s top target Bryan Mbeumo, having held talks with Brentford regarding a move for the forward, according to reports.

United were seen as the front-runners for Mbeumo and are currently locked in discussions with the Bees after seeing an opening offer of £55million rejected.

Mbeumo is seen as a key target for United, who have already brought in Wolves striker Matheus Cunha in a bid to improve their lacklustre attack which managed just 44 Premier League goals last term.

The 25-year-old had seemingly indicated that he preferred a move to Manchester to Spurs as he told the Red Devils of his desire to link up with Ruben Amorim and aid the Portuguese boss’ rebuild.

But with Thomas Frank now at the helm at Tottenham, things look to have changed. The Lilywhites, who beat United in the Europa League final last month, are now threatening to hijack Mbeumo’s move to Old Trafford.

The winger is understood to be ‘intrigued’ at the prospect of reuniting with the Dane and the clubs will now try to agree on a fee, with Brentford understood to be valuing Mbeumo in excess of £60million.

Tottenham have reportedly initiated talks with Brentford over a move for Bryan Mbeumo
