Victor Osimhen ‘waiting’
Rio Ferdinand believes that Victor Osimhen is “waiting for Manchester United” after rejecting a lucrative proposal from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal.
A host of clubs across world football have been linked with signing Osimhen ahead of the new campaign, including the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Al-Hilal, however Ferdinand has now revealed his theory on where the Nigerian is likely to end up.
When asked who Man Utd should sign during the 2025 summer transfer window, Ferdinand told his YouTube channel: “No.9? They already know who I want. The comments know, the people know who I want, who I would go and get: Osimhen!
“It looks like he’s turned down Al-Hilal… he must be waiting for Man Utd. I don’t know if Man Utd are going to come. That’s the problem.”
Amad transfer demand
Man Utd have been urged to retain Amad Diallo this summer, despite their pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
The pair are both naturally right wingers and Louis Saha is fearful that Man Utd may sell Amad in order to bring Mbeumo to the club.
He told The Express: “If there are one or two players who should not leave, it is him [Amad] and Bruno Fernandes. He is the kind of player who does not care where he plays. He has said it himself; he will play as a left-back or centre-back – he will just play.”
Viktor Gyokeres defeat
Man Utd have given up on pursuing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres as they believe he is set to join Arsenal this summer.
That is according to Football Insider, who claim that Ruben Amorim’s side have accepted that Gyokeres has no interest in moving to Old Trafford following their failure to qualify for any form of European football.
They will instead target alternative options, with Crystal Palace star Jean-Phillipe Mateta among the players being closely watched.
Jadon Sancho latest
Fenerbahce have submitted an enquiry over a possible move for Man Utd outcast Jadon Sancho, as per journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The Turkish giants are eager to bolster their options in attack and Sancho has been earmarked as a key transfer target.
Napoli are among the clubs also interested in signing Sancho this summer, while Juventus are keeping tabs on his situation too.
Andriy Lunin targeted
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has been identified as an alternative target to Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez by the Man Utd hierarchy.
That is according to Defensa Central, who claim that Man Utd are willing to pay €15m for the Ukraine international.
However, Real Madrid are currently holding out for a fee of at least €20m amid substantial interest in his signature.
