Bild reports that Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart have paused their discussions about Nick Woltemade for now.

As recently reported, talks between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart over the transfer of Nick Woltemade have hit a snag due to a significant gap in the clubs’ valuation of the player.

Bild now reports that after several phone calls, the two clubs have decided to put their negotiations on hold for the time being.

Bayern Munich want to focus on finishing the Club World Cup, where they are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals on Saturday.

Stuttgart, meanwhile, want to reach an internal agreement on the fee they will demand to let Woltemade go.

It has recently been reported that the Swabians are looking for a fee in the region of €80 million, while Bayern are only willing to pay around €50 million, creating a difficult foundation for the negotiations.
