Torino have officially completed the transfer of attacking midfielder Tino Anjorin from Empoli, but almost half the fee will go to Chelsea.

As we reported on June 27, the agreement was reached to snap up both Anjorin and his teammate Ardian Ismajli from Empoli, albeit in very different circumstances.

Anjorin was secured for circa €5m, while defender Ismajli is a free agent after his contract with Empoli was allowed to run down.

Officially, this is a loan with option to buy if certain circumstances are met, but it is believed to be a very easy clause to activate.

The deal with Toro runs to June 2028, with an option to extend for a further year.

Torino another Serie A experience for Anjorin

The 23-year-old is a product of the Chelsea youth academy who had loan spells for the likes of Huddersfield and Portsmouth before his free move to Empoli in August 2024.

As part of that agreement, the Stamford Bridge side would be owed up to 50 per cent of the sell-on fee.

According to reports, they will get 40 per cent of the €5m price paid by Torino, so that is €3m.

Anjorin contributed two goals and three assists in 22 Serie A appearances for Empoli last season, but was unable to prevent their relegation to Serie B.
