The midfielder who made over 120 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt could be set for a Bundesliga return.
According to a report from Diario ABC, VfB Stuttgart’s bosses have held talks with Djibril Sow’s representatives.
However, there hasn’t been any official exchange between the Bundesliga club and Sevilla FC yet, according to the Spanish daily.
With the Swabians qualifying for Europa League football next season thanks to their DfB Pokal win, the Swiss midfielder could be tempted.
A transfer fee in the high single-digit million range could be enough, with ‘Diario ABC,’ stating Sevilla might negotiate for €7-8million.
Serie A side Lazio has also been mentioned as another interested party, but it remains unclear how advanced the offer is, if at all.
However, the German media is taking a dim view. ‘Absolut Fussball’ and ‘Bild’ have denied that Stuttgart have contacted Sow at this time.
