FC St. Pauli have taken Burnley’s Andréas Hountondji on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

22-year-old striker Andréas Hountondji has joined FC St. Pauli on a season-long loan from Burnley FC.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed the Benin international’s arrival on Tuesday.

“In Andréas we’ve gained a very interesting player for the squad who’ll add a valuable component to our attacking options,” said St. Pauli’s director of sport, Andreas Bornemann.

“His physique, pace and power fit well with our playing philosophy. Andréas combines physical presence with dynamism, pace and technical potential.”

Hountondji, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Standard Liège, added:

“I’m delighted to be at FC St. Pauli now and to get the opportunity to play in the Bundesliga. The talks with the director of sport and the coach were fantastic. The club has a special aura and I want to do my bit to ensure we have a successful season.”
