The Saudi Pro League side made a second €53m bid for the Italian striker, but Atalanta turned down their proposal, aiming to cash in at least €60m from the striker’s departure.
Retegui has been offered a €20m-a-year contract offer and is tempted to join the Saudi team.

It’s possible that Atalanta and Al-Qadsiah will continue negotiations in the coming hours, and if La Dea’s requests are matched, they will move for another centre forward, with Napoli’s Giacomo Raspadori and Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca among their targets.

Retegui joined Atalanta from Genoa in a €20m deal last year.
The Argentine-born striker was the top scorer in Serie A last season, netting 25 goals in 36 matches.
