How much have Chelsea earned from the Club World Cup?

Chelsea booked their place in the 2025 Club World Cup final with a 2-0 win over Fluminense on Tuesday night as they bid to win their second major trophy in less than two months.

Enzo Maresca’s side beat Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final in May to earn their first piece of silverware since BlueCo’s arrival in 2022, and they have the chance to win the inaugural summer Club World Cup on Sunday evening.

A brace from new signing Joao Pedro against his boyhood club secured Chelsea’s place in the final, where they will meet Paris Saint-Germain – the reigning European champions.

The west London side head into the tie as major underdogs, but they have already banked a significant pool of money courtesy of reaching the final, while they have guaranteed their status as the world’s second-best team at a minimum.

With a prize pot of $1 billion (around €850m) available at the Club World Cup, it has been an extremely lucrative competition for those involved – especially Chelsea.

Chelsea’s win over Fluminense took their earnings at the Club World Cup to around €93m (£80m), depending on their exact participation fee, which hasn’t yet been confirmed by FIFA.

They will receive an additional €8.7m (£7.5m) if they beat PSG in the final, meaning their total earnings could reach over €100m.

Chelsea began their Club World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over LAFC, thanks to goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez.

They subsequently suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat to Flamengo, despite leading 1-0 at half-time, before running out 3-0 winners over ES Tunis in their final group stage match. Liam Delap netted his first Chelsea goal against the Tunisian side, while Tosin Adarabioyo and Tyrique George were also on the scoresheet.

Chelsea then beat Benfica 4-1 in their first knockout tie, although they required extra-time to see off the Portuguese giants, before emerging 2-1 victors over Palmeiras in the quarter-finals. They then beat Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-final to book their place in the final.
