17-goal striker open to joining Man Utd this summer

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has opened the door to joining Manchester United this summer, according to Givemesport.

The England international has been a key player for the Midlands outfit. He scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in the recent campaign.

Watkins has not been placed on the transfer market by the Villans, but reports claim that the club could be prepared to sell him for above £50m.

United are monitoring his situation at the moment and could make an approach later in the transfer window after recouping funds.

Watkins has already given the green light for a transfer and he is open to joining United despite their lack of European football next term.

The striker is frustrated at the Villans, having been denied a dream move to Arsenal in January. The Gunners are no longer keen on signing him.

United would provide the striker with the opportunity for a big payday. He could become an undisputed starter for the Red Devils next season.
