Report: Chelsea and Simons inching closer to verbal agreement after “very good talks”

Step by step, Xavi Simons appears to be nearing a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Xavi Simons are getting closer to reaching a verbal agreement, according to Florian Plettenberg. 

Personal terms are not an issue, as the Netherlands attacker is reportedly open to the Chelsea project.

It is believed that very good talks also took place with RB Leipzig yesterday, with more scheduled for today, July 23. 

As things stand, Die Roten Bullen are waiting for an offer from the Premier League side who already poached Jamie Gittens this summer. 

Leipzig are simultaneously working on a deal for Carney Chukwuemeka as a potential replacement for Simons, as reported earlier.
