Thomas Müller looks destined to done the Whitecaps’ colours.

Thomas Müller to Vancouver Whitecaps can be considered a done deal, according to the latest Sky Germany update.

A full agreement in principle has now been reached, with his contract set to begin on 1 August and running until until 2026.

The Canadian MLS side overcame the final hurdle earlier this afternoon by agreeing to pay for FC Cincinnati’s “Discovery Rights” for Müller.

Each MLS club has the exclusive right to negotiate with certain international players — therefore the “discovery right” can be traded too.

Vancouver boss Axel Schuster, formerly Schalke’s sporting director and team manager at Mainz, was keen to sign him.

The 35-year-old legend will continue his career in Canada, playing in MLS — as also reported by BILD.
