Solskjaer in trouble as Besiktas contact Mancini

Besiktas failed to qualify for the Champions League and were defeated 4-2 at home in the first leg of their Europa League qualifying match against Shakhtar Donetsk. This has applied a huge amount of pressure to the Norwegian head coach and the Turkish club are already working on a replacement.

Aside from Mancini, the club are also considering bringing back Sergen Yalcin. Yalcin won both the league and Turkish cup with Besiktas in the 2020-21 season, before resigning the following season. The 52-year-old reportedly wants a one year contract to return to his old club, with an option of a second.
