Die Werkself are reportedly working hard to source a reliable backup goalkeeper.
With the transfer of Lukas Hradecky to AS Monaco seemingly inevitable, Bayer Leverkusen are on the hunt for a back-up goalkeeper.
As per a report from Kicker.de, last seasons runners-up are supposedly in advanced negotiations with Janis Blaswich.
Blaswich, whose contract in RB Leipzig runs until 2026, is likely to cost a small seven-figure million fee if he transfers.
Seen as surplus to requirements, Blaswich was loaned to Salzburg last season where he kept 5 clean sheets in 11 league games.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper made 47 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig between 2022 and 2024.
At Leverkusen, the German could deputise behind Mark Flekken and shift ahead of Niklas Lomb in the pecking order.
