Roma have announced a new pre-season friendly will be played against Saudi Pro League side Neom SC on August 16.

The venue for the encounter will be the Stadio Benite Stirpe in Frosinone, close to the Eternal City and still within the Lazio region.

Neom are one of the newest clubs in the Saudi top flight and have been investing heavily this summer, including the arrival of coach Christophe Galtier.

Their players include Alexandre Lacazette, Said Benrahma, Marcin Bulka, Amadou Koné and Nathan Zézé.

This is going to be the final pre-season test for Roma, before their season begins with the official Serie A debut.

That will be against Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday August 23.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are currently at their pre-season training camp in England, where they will play Everton at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday August 9.

They had some mixed results in these friendlies, beating FC Koln 1-0, Cannes 3-0 and Lens 2-0, but losing 4-0 to Aston Villa.
