Igor Tudor is ‘disappointed’ that fans jeered Dusan Vlahovic during today’s friendly. ‘He is still a Juventus player and has trained very professionally.’

The Bianconeri beat their Next Gen youth team 2-0 this evening at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin, with Douglas Luiz scoring a goal and then providing the assist for Vlahovic.

“It was great to see so many people in the stands,” coach Tudor said to reporters including Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb.

As per tradition, this pre-season friendly is abandoned before the full 90 minutes due to a pitch invasion from the supporters, even if they halted play a lot earlier than usual.

“It was a pity we didn’t get to have at least 20 minutes in the second half, but that’s fine, it was a good training session. I am satisfied, we keep working towards the games that matter.”

Vlahovic had been jeered by some of the crowd for an error just before the goal, then again after he scored, when he pointedly refused to celebrate.

“It’s disappointing, he is still a Juventus player. He trains very professionally, he worked hard today, as did everyone. Douglas Luiz did well too, there is quality in this squad.”

There was another problem for Tudor today, because midfielder Fabio Miretti limped off with a muscular problem after just 38 minutes.

It could be a serious issue considering he is on the transfer market, so an injury could slow any potential sale.

“We’ll see what the tests say,” concluded the Juventus coach.
