Defensa Central reports that Saudi Arabia is determined to bring in a world class superstar to further improve the league and country’s global image.

The Saudi Pro League have for over a year been trying to entice Vinicius Jr to the kingdom, with reports of bids up to €300m.

But Defensa Central says they are prepared to go even higher for Mbappe and obliterate the current world record fee.

The current record holder is Neymar for his €222m move to PSG from Barcelona in 2017.

Mbappe to Saudi Arabia

However, a move to the Saudi Pro League seems unlikely as Madrid do not want to sell.

Madrid president Florentino Perez sees Mabppe as a massive commercial weapon, in addition to his football ability.

Mbappe himself, at the age of 26, also does not seem keen on moving away from Europe.

The France superstar joined Real Madrid last year on a free transfer from PSG.

After a slow start, he enjoyed a brilliant debut season on a personal level by scoring 44 goals in all competitions.

However, the team chemistry never quite worked with him, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham together as Madrid fell short in La Liga and the Champions League.
