Juventus head coach Igor Tudor is one of countless coaches who oppose the summer transfer window still being open after the start of the league season, and says that he hopes things will change as the current situation ‘drives you crazy’ and takes away from match preparations.

Juventus are preparing to take on Parma for their first Serie A match of the 2025-26 season, which will take place on Sunday evening.

The Bianconeri are still working on both outgoing and incoming transfers, however, with Brazilian pair Douglas Luiz and Arthur Melo on their way out of the club, while talks for PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani continue

Tudor feels transfer window should already be shut

Tudor, speaking in an interview with Sky Sport Italia on Thursday, admits that he does not like the fact that the transfer window is still open, and suggests that the rules should be changed so that the window closes at least a week before the start of the league season.

“Honestly, I don’t pay too much attention to whatever’s circulating because it drives you crazy,” Tudor told Sky.

“Every coach goes crazy during this period, but I don’t like the window (still being open) because it takes away certainties and concentration on our daily work, which is fundamental.

“We hope that this will be changed. The norm would be to close the window a week before the season starts. Then, whatever will be, will be. Every coach wants to have the strongest players possible. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don’t. You have to accept it and focus on what’s happening on the pitch, on the things that you have.”
