Amidst chaos regarding Erik ten Hag’s future, Bayer Leverkusen announced yet another new signing.

Eliesse Ben Seghir completes his move to Bayer Leverkusen for a guaranteed €30m plus add-ons from AS Monaco. Die Werkself have been working on the transfer for quite some time, and they finally got the deal done ahead of the deadline day.

“ Eliesse Ben Seghir is a first-class technician, imaginative and clever in dribbling and with a precise, opening passing game,” said Leverkusen’s CEO of Sport, Simon Rolfes.

“The Bundesliga is very different from the Ligue 1, which is particularly exciting. I am very much looking forward to getting to know it,” said the 20-year-old attacker after penning a deal until 2030.

The Moroccan international scored 15 goals in 85 appearances for the Monegasque. Levekusen’s busy summer window might not be over yet with the expected departure of Piero Hincapié, while they could sign Equi Fernández tomorrow.
