Lazio director Angelo Fabiani is confident that Pedro will ‘make a difference’ in the Rome derby: ‘It’s a game that must be played against everything and everyone.’

Fabiani spoke to DAZN just a few minutes before the kick-off in the derby della Capitale.

Fabiani: Rome Derby ‘always special’

“Today’s game has a special taste. You just need to look at the spectacle in the stands, especially our Curva. It means so much for us, and we want to grab a good result,” Fabiani said.

Both Gian Piero Gasperini and Maurizio Sarri made some surprising line-up choices.

Lorenzo Pellegrini will start in the middle of the park for Roma, while Sarri has picked Pedro and Boulaye Dia in the Lazio attack, leaving Valentin Castellanos on the bench.

“I’ve seen that Pellegrini starts, but it doesn’t matter who plays, who doesn’t. It’s a game that must be played against everything and everyone,” Fabiani said.

“I believe that starting Dia is a technical choice from the coach. Pedro is a champion who always makes a difference when he goes on the pitch. He tested the XI during the week.”
