Wednesday’s reports claim that Juventus executives Damien Comolli and Giorgio Chiellini are already being touted for promotions within the club, just a few months on from their recent appointments as General Manager and Head of Football Institutional Relations.

Juventus have restructured their senior management over the last 12 months. Club legend Chiellini was appointed to the role of Head of Football Institutional Relations in September 2024, and has since been considered for a number of different roles within the club hierarchy.

Comolli was appointed as the club’s new general manager at the beginning of June, and just two days later, it was confirmed that former sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli had left his post by mutual consent. Francois Modesto was then appointed as Juve’s technical director in mid-July.

Now, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve are considering switching things around even further.

Wednesday’s report claims that Comolli is under consideration to become the club’s new CEO, a position that is currently held by Maurizio Scanavino.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, if Comolli is made Juventus CEO, Scanavino could potentially move into a directorship role with EXOR, the holding company that owns and controls Juventus. Alternatively, he could move into a financial officer role with the Bianconeri.

This is expected to be a topic of hot discussion at the club’s next annual shareholders’ meeting in November.

As for Chiellini, Juventus are reportedly considering appointing him to the club’s board of directors. Gazzetta suggests that he could be on a similar trajectory to that of former director Pavel Nedved, who later went on to become the club’s vice-President, prior to his suspension.
