Despite their game with PSV Eindhoven finishing 1-1 tonight, Kasper Hjulmand felt his side showed some bright sparks but must finish opponents off going forward.
“We had some good [attacking] situations but we missed the last punch to to put the second goal away. We even had a big chance at the end of the match.
“I think the boys were fighting a lot, but at the end of the day we have another draw and we lacked the last offensive punch to take the victory.
“We needed to keep playing with a proactive mindset. Every time we lead 1-0 we have to be proactive. We have to keep the ball but see if we can attack and get the next goal,” he added.
With regards injuries to players like Axel Tape, the Danish gaffer said he will wait and see over the next 48-hour period before they take on 1.FC Union Berlin this weekend.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Grimaldo gave another masterful performance on the left flank but voiced his frustration at the result despite feeling the team played well.
“I think we played one of our best games, we created lots of chances, but that’s the Champions League. We are sad because we deserved more,” Grimaldo told DAZN.
