1.FC Union Berlin coach Steffen Baumgart sat down to answer questions in his press conference ahead of their clash with Bayer Leverkusen today.

The 53-year-old explained his frustration after their 0-0 draw with Hamburger SV last weekend and their preparations for a tricky game against Die Werkself to come.

“I wasn’t happy with the result last week, and that there is were things need to be improved upon. I’ve been over it with the team. They will apply what they’ve worked on.

“Looking forward, Leverkusen are, of course, a very good team. It’s hard to get space against them. They are good against the ball, and we have to find a solution and answer to that.

“It’s an exciting job, an exciting challenge for us. My job to be clear in my instructions. The team won’t be lacking motivation,” Baumgart added, with a smile etched across his face.

Aside from that, he briefly mentioned that Livan Burcu, Robert Skov, Josip Juranovic and Andrik Markgraf will remain sidelined for the Matchday 6 clash.
