With his contract running until the summer of 2026, Mario Götze’s future at Eintracht Frankfurt remains uncertain.

Speaking to Sky90, Eintracht sporting CEO Markus Krösche emphasized that Götze is an “important” part of the squad, but added that there are no immediate plans for concrete contract talks with the 33-year-old.

“Certainly, we see Mario as a very important part of the squad, and I believe he can give an incredible amount to this young team,” Krösche said.

“We’ve now sat down and agreed: let’s get him fit and back into matches for us, and then we’ll all sit down together in six months,” he added.

Götze, who recently returned from an injury, has been with Eintracht since 2022 and has made four appearances off the bench so far this season.
