Chrislain Matsima has established himself as a key figure at FC Augsburg following his move from AS Monaco in the summer of 2024 and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

After a strong showing for France at the U21 European Championship, the 23-year-old centre-back has attracted interest from several top clubs, according to Sport Bild.

The report suggests that a transfer fee of €30 million could convince Augsburg to part ways with Matsima next summer.

If completed, this would break the club’s current transfer record, set by Abdul Rahman Baba, who moved to Chelsea for €26 million in 2015.

Matsima initially joined Augsburg on loan from Monaco, with the move made permanent last summer for a reported €5 million. He is now under contract until 2029.
