BILD is reporting that VfB Stuttgart has a contract option “that will almost certainly result in an obligation to purchase” for Bilal El Khannouss.

According to the report, this comment is linked to very low financial hurdles. If they are met, the club will even have to sign the midfielder permanently.

The Swabian club is virtually certain that the conditions for an obligation to buy will be met for the Moroccan who has scored 3 goals in six games.

The transfer fee is expected to be around €18million, plus a further €1million in potential bonus payments. Meanwhile, his market value is currently estimated at around €28million.

It’s clear to see he has already impressed the club’s hierarchy – “I think he’s very, very blessed technically,” said sporting director Christian Gentner after the 1-0 win against Heidenheim.

El Khannouss is currently on international duty with the Moroccan national team. The North Africans have already secured their World Cup ticket.
