Chelsea could make an offer for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo during the winter transfer window, according to Football Insider.
The Blues suffered a big setback over the summer as Levi Colwill picked up a serious knee ligament injury. He has since underwent surgery and could be sidelined for the remainder of the ongoing campaign.
Chelsea decided to look into an internal solution after the big injury blow, but they could back manager Enzo Maresca with a new centre-back in the New Year.
Murillo has been closely tracked by the west London giants over the past year and they could make a formal approach for his services when the window reopens.
The Brazilian is an indispensable figure in the Forest ranks, but the Blues are prepared to test Forest’ solve with a tempting proposal in early January.
It may take a package of around 60 million pounds to persuade Forest into parting ways with the highly-rated centre-back at the midway stage of the season.
