Herbert Hainer was re-elected as president of Bayern Munich at the club’s 2025 Annual General Meeting this afternoon, as confirmed in a club statement online.

Professor Dr. Dieter Mayer as first vice president and Walter Mennekes as second vice president were also re-elected at the meeting held at BMW Park in Munich.

An overwhelming majority of 95.63% voted by members present ensures another term for Hainer, who succeeded current honorary president Uli Hoeneß in December 2019.

“The event’s theme, ‘125 Years of FC Bayern,’ shows us: We know where we come from, who we are – and where we want to go,” Hainer had told the members before the election.

“Much has changed over the decades – but one thing, one thing has always remained the same: that we don’t orient ourselves towards the competition, but only towards ourselves.

“This office fills me with great humility, and it is a great honor for me to continue being president of this unique club,” said Hainer, who thanked the supervisory board and members.
