Paolo Vanoli has officially been unveiled as Fiorentina’s new head coach, signing a contract until June 2026 with an option for a further year.

The 53-year-old former Torino boss led his first training session at Viola Park before speaking to the club’s official channels, outlining a message of focus and renewal.

“There’s no time to celebrate,” Vanoli said. “My attention is entirely on the Genoa match. The players must understand our situation – we have to reset everything and start making points again.”

New Fiorentina coach Vanoli: ‘I’m proud to be back in Florence’

Vanoli thanked President Rocco Commisso, along with directors Ferrari and Goretti, for trusting him to guide the Viola out of a difficult spell.

“I’m proud to be back in Florence, a city where I’ve already played and know what it means to win here,” he added.

The new coach underlined his commitment to discipline and mentality ahead of his first match in charge.

“If you can’t win, you must at least not lose,” he said. “Fiorentina demands a lot – we’ll rebuild from clear and concrete principles, one step at a time.”

Vanoli took charge after Stefano Pioli was dismissed. A poor string of results sees La Viola sit at the bottom of the table, with just four points from their first ten games of the season.
