During the summer, Nick Woltemade made the switch from VfB Stuttgart to Newcastle United.

After an adjustment period, the 23-year-old feels he is increasingly finding his feet in the Premier League, revealing that the playing style in England has taken his game to the next level.

“The biggest difference compared to the Premier League is the intensity and physicality. I had to get used to it myself. In the first few games, I often suffered from cramps,” Woltemade said at a press conference on Thursday ahead of Germany’s World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg.

“But my game has become more intense now. I can make more sprints, press more effectively, and work better defensively. That really helps my overall performance.”

The German striker has scored six goals in 14 games for Newcastle.
